Everyone that fishes them raves about their smoothness. The rod is darkly flamed evenly to a mahogany color with color preserved black wraps tippet white like a Granger Registered. Mirrored tips. Black guides and strippers with blued ferrules and hardware. Half wells style grips and mortised sliding band reel seats. The rod comes with nice black Landmark tubes with brass hardware and a CSE rod sock with hang tag. Price is $600 each + insured shipping and 4% Wyoming sales tax.
3)7'6" 2/2 Quad 5wt I tried to emulate the rod above in a quad format. These rods are designed to combat the Wyoming wind without being stiff or clubby. Quads are known for their reserve power and these are an excellent example of that. They have no trouble tossing just about any fly in any condition. A great all around 5wt for the west. I have 3 of these. All have color preserved burgundy wraps tipped black and are darkly flamed. They all have black guides and strippers with blued ferrules and hardware. Mirrored tips. They all have half wells grips and mortised sliding band reel seats, with one being an elliptical half wells. 4)7'9" 2/2 Hollow 4wt,5wt These are my favorite dry fly rods for accurate work at distance. They are patterned after a Winston taper which has been shortened 3" and had the tip adjusted to throw tighter loops. Everyone that has cast these rods has been blown away by their light balanced in hand feel and performance. Both rods are darkly flamed with color preserved dark brown wraps tipped black. They have chrome guides and strippers with blued hardware and ferrules. Mirrored tips. Half wells grips with mortised sliding band reel seats. Black Landmark tubes with brass hardware and a CSE rod sock with hang tag. Price is $600 each + insured shipping and 4% Wyoming sales tax.
We also offer blanks in Hex, Quad, or Penta formats with or without ferrules. We offer bluing and hollowing at no extra charge. The blanks are acceptably straight but will require further tweeking when the guides are installed to be perfect. We can supply any components you need. Call or email for quotes. This does not include operator error's or breaks due to accidents. These will be repaired for a reasonable charge. Our goal is to get you fishing a great bamboo rod for a reasonable price and your satisfaction is very important to us. There is a 3 day inspection period on rods. This gives you the opportunity to lawn cast the rods. If the rod comes back in anything but new condition we can't refund your money. Buyer pays shipping both ways if returned. We also have Vintage rods for sale 7'6" Granger Special I got this rod as a single tip with a 1" short mid. I got a donor rod and re planed a new mid and tip. All hardware is from Ricks Rods and is correct for Wright Mcgill. The rod is a 3rd generation Goodwin rod. Everything is new and reset and ready to fish. Rod has a non original but vintage tube and original sock. $700 plus insured shipping and 4% Wyoming state tax.
8'6" 3/2 WM Granger Victory This rod is all original with the exception of an overcoat of varnish. All sections sound and full length. It shows little sign of use. Original bag and tube with 85% label. Price $600 + insured shipping and 4% Wyoming sales tax.
7'6" 2/2 Phillipson Peerless The rod has been refurbished 2 years ago with new Wright McGill ferrules. All markings are intact. This is a "63" rod with Pacific green wraps. All pieces are full length with the exception of the butt. Rod maker Bob Lancaster installed one of his trademark reverse half wells ventilated grips and a down locking cork reel seat back in the 70's so the butt is about 1/2" short. No cane is missing. Non original sock and original tube. Rod has been fished but is in good shape and ready to go. Price $600 + insured shipping and 4% Wyoming sales tax.
7'6" 2/2 Perfectionist Taper by Tim Zietak. Rod built on Tim's blank by me. All sections are full length and sound. Clear wraps with one black wrap on darkly flamed cane. Semi parabolic action. Half wells grip and mortised sliding band reel seat. Sock and tube. Rod has been fished but is ready to go. Price $400 + insured shipping and 4% Wyoming sales tax.
All above rods are in used condition unless otherwise stated. This means the may have nicks, scratches, grip soiling and other small cosmetic imperfections but all have been cast and are sound fishing rods.
