Scott Sweebe, the owner and operator of Eastgate Anglers, has been fishing all his life.  Since 1999, Scott has fished approximately 300 days a year  in and around the Cody area and knows hundreds of miles of rivers and lakes in Northwest Wyoming.

Scott  spent the early part of his adult life on the East Coast bass fishing, fishing North GA trout streams and fishing off the coast of Florida.  When he realized that he could fly fish year round in Wyoming and catch large trout, he moved west. Probably no one in Cody spends as much actual time on the water studying the hatches and mastering the techniques involved in catching the fish in this area as Scott does. He  began his own guide service in 2002 and since then his motto, and the motto of many of his customers has been "FLY FISHING IS EASY!"

Scott enjoys sharing what he knows and says he "likes watching other people catch fish as much as catching them him self."  He is patient, kind, and honest, which are excellent qualities to have when teaching new anglers.  Additionally, he is just plain fun!  In 2001 and 2002 he was requested to teach at the Powell Recreational Department's fly fishing round-up event and has been working with the local kids ever since.

When he isn't fishing Scott is tying flies and making up his own patterns.  The  "Bah Behr" has become a favorite for many of the locals here in Cody.  Scott's wife, Dawn, is also an avid fly fisherwoman.  They swap lies for the biggest or most fish caught in a day.   Dawn encourages women to give fly fishing a try saying "it is relaxing and a wonderful way to spend time with family and friends."
